
The Directors of Brands2Life have a combined 50 years of corporate and agency experience working for brands such as 3i, 3Com, BT, Cisco, EDS, HP, Logica, Motorola, Nortel Networks, Oracle, T-Mobile and Toshiba.
Giles Fraser co-owns and shares the day-to-day running of Brands2Life with Sarah Scales. Giles spends over 50% of his time working with clients to help drive their brands forward and implement high-impact communications programmes.
Prior to Brands2Life, Giles Fraser ran Hill & Knowlton’s Information Industries EMEA practice between 1995-2000 building it from $2m to $12m in revenues with clients such as BT, Motorola, Novell, Oracle, and Sonera. Prior to H&K Giles was global head of communications for Logica plc (1992-95) and head of PA Consulting Group’s Communications Strategy practice (1988-92).
Giles is a member of the British Computer Society’s Professionalism in IT Steering Board. He has an English degree from Oxford and an MBA from City University Business School.
Sarah Scales co-owns and shares the day-to-day running of Brands2Life with Giles Fraser. Sarah works closely with several of the agency’s leading clients on a regular basis to advise them on their PR strategies and programmes.
Previously Sarah worked at Hill & Knowlton, running accounts including Motorola (for whom she ran a multi-discipline pan-European programme), EDS, Gateway, HP, and Nortel Networks. Sarah also specialises in sponsorship exploitation with campaigns around some of the world’s biggest sporting events.
Prior to Hill & Knowlton Sarah worked at Shandwick, managing corporate PR activity for IDG, IDC and IDG Marketing Services, and GD Express Worldwide. Sarah has also worked in-house at Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospital Trust, specialising in crisis management, internal communications and lobbying, and at Parcel Force.
Sarah has a degree in History & Politics from Royal Holloway College, University of London.
Harriet Rich is responsible for developing Brands2Life’s Client Services proposition to ensure best practice is conducted across all services and accounts. This includes the development of new services and the rollout of employee training programmes to ensure continuous improvement in the quality of service Brands2Life provides its clients.
She also leads a number of client teams from market leaders and industry associations to start-ups and sector specialists. She currently works with the Business Software Alliance, Centennial, Rentokil Pest Control, Investors in Software, Monotype Imaging and WebEx. Harriet specialises in developing creative campaigns that take technology brands into the mainstream business, national and broadcast media.
Over the past decade Harriet has helped B2B, corporate and consumer technology companies with their communication strategies including 3COM, Simpay, CMG, BT Openworld, Thus, Emblaze Systems, and TeleCity.
Prior to joining Brands2Life she was at Lewis PR for three years and before that she was at Millbank PR where she worked on Esprit Telecom and Amadeus, the global distribution system.
Harriet has a degree in Art History from The University of East Anglia.
As the company Finance Director, Hannah Nicholson is responsible for managing all financial aspects of the business. Working with senior management, her role is diverse and includes over seeing day-to-day bookkeeping, capacity planning, staff time management, job and client profitability analysis, monthly management accounts and annual financial statements. Other responsibilities include payroll, staff healthcare, company forums, social/sports committees and managing the company support team.
Before joining Brands2Life in 2003, Hannah was responsible for finance in Saatchi and Saatchi?s diversified marketing businesses where she managed a finance team responsible for 11 of the company?s media services divisions. Prior to Saatchi, she was part of the finance team that handled the £30m management buy out at Hobbs, the womenswear chain.
A Chartered Accountant, Hannah is a member of the Women in Finance Networking Group Steering Group at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). She has a degree in Accounting and Finance from Leeds Metropolitan University.
